Priority Requirement

Candidates with hands-on experience in both WMS and FDM4 will be given priority.

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced FDM4 Developer + SRE Engineer to develop, enhance, maintain, and support the FDM4 ERP application.

The role involves completing technical designs for new features and enhancements, developing and testing software, providing production support, managing application issues, and working with team members to resolve complex technical problems and deliver future enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, enhance, and maintain programs for the FDM4 ERP application.
  • Provide production support for the FDM4 ERP system.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve application bugs and production issues.
  • Perform software testing and ensure application stability and reliability.
  • Develop technical designs for new features, enhancements, and application changes.
  • Monitor and maintain the FDM4 application to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Work closely with team members and stakeholders to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Support future enhancements and continuous improvement of the application.
  • Contribute to SRE/production support activities, focusing on application reliability and operational stability.
  • Work independently on complex technical problems and provide timely resolutions.
  • Follow Agile methodologies throughout the development and support lifecycle.

Mandatory Technical Skills

  • 5–8+ years of hands-on experience in Progress OpenEdge ABL / 4GL development.
  • Strong knowledge of Progress OpenEdge ABL.
  • Good understanding of OpenEdge RDBMS concepts.
  • Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP/OOPS) concepts.
  • Good experience with SQL.
  • Experience in server-side programming using an object-oriented language such as Java or Python.
  • Strong experience in production support and SRE activities.
  • Experience with application troubleshooting, bug fixing, and issue resolution.
  • Ability to work independently and solve complex technical problems.

Good to Have Skills

  • Hands-on experience with FDM4 ERP.
  • Hands-on experience with WMS (Warehouse Management System).
  • Experience with Progress AppServer.
  • Experience with Progress Database.
  • Experience in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
  • Experience working with any ERP system.
  • Experience using Postman.
  • Experience building Web Services using Progress OpenEdge ABL.
  • Exposure to modern application reliability / SRE practices.

Preferred Candidate Profile

  • 7+ years of overall relevant experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience in Progress OpenEdge ABL development.
  • Experience working on ERP applications, preferably FDM4.
  • WMS + FDM4 experience is highly preferred.
  • Strong production support and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Good understanding of Agile development methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable working independently as an individual contributor.
