Sr. Software Engineer
About the Role
We are looking for a skilled Senior Software Engineer with 4–7 years of experience to join
our Product Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Python,
C/C++, databases, system design, and software architecture, along with hands-on experience
with AI coding tools and prompt engineering.
This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys solving complex system-level problems, working
with large-scale applications, leveraging modern AI-assisted development tools, and building
highly scalable and reliable products in a product/startup environment.
Key Responsibilities
●
Design, develop, and maintain Python-based software components and services.
●
Design and develop scalable connectors and integrations for structured and NoSQL
data sources.
●
Design and develop systems for metadata extraction, schema discovery, data
sampling, modelling, and metadata management.
●
Drive technical decisions related to system scalability, modularity, performance,
reliability, and maintainability.
●
Develop and optimize database interactions across relational and NoSQL databases.
●
Work with technologies such as Redis and cloud-based data services.
●
Develop system-level components using C/C++ where required.
●
Design solutions for large-scale data processing and cross-platform data integration.
●
Implement appropriate data security and access-control mechanisms within
applications and data platforms.
●
Troubleshoot complex production issues and perform root-cause analysis.
●
Collaborate with Product, Engineering, QA, and other technical teams to deliver
high-quality product features.
●
Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to engineering and coding standards.●
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
●
Contribute to technical documentation, architecture discussions, and continuous
improvement of engineering practices.
●
Effectively use AI-assisted coding tools for code generation, debugging, testing,
optimization, documentation, and development productivity.
●
Apply AI tools and prompt engineering techniques to solve technical problems and
improve engineering workflows.
Core Technical Skills
Programming
●
Strong proficiency in Python
●
Good experience with C and C++
●
Strong coding, debugging, and problem-solving skills
●
Strong understanding of Data Structures and Algorithms
●
Hands-on experience with AI coding tools
●
Hands-on experience with prompt engineering
●
Ability to effectively use AI/LLM tools for code generation, debugging, analysis,
testing, and software development
Databases
●
Strong knowledge of SQL
●
Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.
●
Experience with NoSQL databases
●
Database design and optimization
●
Data modelling and schema design
●
Experience with Redis
Infrastructure & Cloud
●
Strong Linux experience
●
AWS services such as S3, EC2, and RDS
●
Understanding of cloud-based application architectures
●
Experience with containerized and scalable application environments is an advantageAI & Modern Development
