1. HES Integration Engineer (Head-End System) 


• Location: Delhi / Noida (India)

• Experience: 3+ yrs

• Mode: 1 Year direct contract under us, potentially extendable or convertible 

• Interview rounds: 2 or 3 (Virtual & F2F)

• Availability: 30 days


Role summary: 


Configure and operate the Head-End System, establish, and validate meter-to-HES communication over DLMS/COSEM, drive end-to-end testing, and deliver robust HES↔MDMS integration.


Key responsibilities:


• Configure the HES: meter onboarding/registration, communication profiles, scheduling/on-demand reads (ODR), job configuration, firmware OTA campaigns, and security/key management.

• Establish meter-to-HES communication and validate DLMS/COSEM compliance: OBIS mapping, COSEM object/data-model validation, association and ciphering setup, push/event handling.

• Design, implement and test northbound/southbound integrations between HES and MDMS (and CIS/billing), including IEC 61968-9 / CIM interfaces, APIs and data feeds.

• Execute end-to-end testing across the AMI chain (meter → HES → MDMS), validating load profile, instantaneous, billing, events/tamper, and outage (last-gasp) data integrity.

• Troubleshoot non-comm/never-comm meters, perform root-cause analysis on communication and data-quality issues, and support VEE data hand-off to MDMS.

• Use large-scale meter/DLMS simulators to validate HES scalability, performance, and functionality before/with field rollout.

Required technical skills and tools:

• Hands-on experience with at least one HES/MDAS platform (e.g., Cuculus Zonos, Siemens EnergyIP, Itron IEE, Elster EnergyICT, Landis+Gyr Gridstream, EDMI Storm) and at least one MDMS.

• DLMS/COSEM protocol depth (OBIS, interface classes, HDLC/TCP profiles, security suites); MODBUS desirable.


• Integration stack: Java/J2EE, SOA, XML/REST APIs; RDBMS (Oracle); Linux; message/streaming (Kafka) and VEE concepts a plus.


• DLMS tooling: Gurux, ASE62056, simulators; defect tracking (Jira/Azure DevOps).


Qualifications & experience: 


B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech in Electronics/Electrical/Computer Science; senior-level years in AMI/smart-grid integration; must understand end-to-end AMI data flow.


Domain knowledge (Australian market): AEMO/NER metering data framework, Metering Coordinator/MDP roles, Type 4 metering, DLMS/COSEM, MDMS VEE; AS/NZS metering context.


Nice to have: IEC 61968-9/CIM; cloud (AWS/Azure); high availability/clustered deployments; experience integrating multiple meter vendors; cybersecurity for AMI.
