SRIK Consulting Hiring :  Tableau Developer + Admin  


Role: Tableau Developer + Admin

30% Admin exposure- enabling access to user, looking at tableau server health, 

70% Developer side- ongoing enhancement + new development

Experience: 6 to 10 Yrs

Work Mode: Remote -- INDIA

Shift Timings: 3:30 PM- 11:30 PM AM IST / 4 PM to 12 AM IST

Contract Duration: 3 to 6 Months

 

Key Responsibilities 

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive Tableau dashboards and reports for business and leadership teams 

• Translate business requirements into effective data visualizations and analytics solutions 

• Work with large, complex datasets from multiple sources (databases, flat files, APIs, cloud data warehouses) 

• Write and optimize complex SQL queries to support reporting and analysis 

• Implement Tableau best practices for performance optimization, dashboard design, and usability 

• Create and manage calculated fields, parameters, sets, LOD expressions, and table calculations 

• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and governance across reports 

• Perform ad-hoc analysis and provide insights to support business decisions 

• Collaborate with data engineers, business analysts, and stakeholders to define KPIs and metrics 

• Document dashboards, data sources, and business logic 


Tableau Server / Cloud Administration Responsibilities 


• Configure and manage Tableau Server / Tableau Cloud environments 

• Manage users, groups, roles, and permissions to ensure data security and governance 

• Monitor server health, performance, and resource utilization 

• Optimize extract refresh schedules and background processes 

• Manage Tableau services, processes, and server topology 

• Handle license management, activation, and renewals 

• Perform server upgrades, patching, and version control coordination 

• Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and implement optimization strategies 

• Monitor logs and resolve server-related issues 

• Implement best practices for scalability, performance tuning, and high availability 


Required Skills & Qualifications 


• 4–8 years of experience in BI / Analytics / Data Visualization 

• Strong hands-on experience with Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server/Cloud 

• Experience in Tableau Server configuration, administration, and performance tuning 

• Excellent knowledge of SQL (joins, subqueries, CTEs, performance tuning) 

• Strong understanding of data modeling concepts (star schema, snowflake, facts & dimensions) 

• Experience working with relational databases and/or cloud data platforms 

• Solid understanding of dashboard design principles and data storytelling 

• Knowledge of server architecture, backgrounder processes, extracts, and live connections 

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple deliverables 

• Strong communication skills and stakeholder-management ability 

Good to Have 

• Experience with Power BI, Looker, or other BI tools 

• Exposure to ETL tools or data pipelines (Alteryx, Informatica, dbt, etc.) 

• Experience with Python/R for data analysis 

• Tableau Certification (Desktop Specialist / Certified Data Analyst) 

• Domain experience in Finance, Sales, Operations, or Supply Chain
