About the Role

A Workato Architect is responsible for designing, building, and deploying integrations and automations using the Workato platform, working closely with clients to understand their business needs and providing innovative solutions that leverage the power of Workato to drive efficiency and improve processes.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Design & Architecture

  • Lead end-to-end Workato solution design and delivery including requirement gathering, architecture review, and roadmap development.
  • Design and develop robust, scalable, and flexible solution architectures for various projects, including proof of concepts, and follow Enterprise Integration best practices — scalable, reusable, and secure data pipelines.
  • Guide clients on various architectural approaches such as microservices, event-driven architecture, messaging, and enterprise data hub.

Client Engagement

  • Conduct client workshops to understand current-state ("as-is") systems, identify integration opportunities, and define target-state ("to-be") architecture.
  • Engage with senior leaders and champions at customers and become the trusted strategic and technical advisor to help define their integration and automation strategy in order to achieve desired business outcomes.

Delivery & Implementation

  • Oversee Workato recipe development, testing, deployment, and optimization in line with enterprise integration standards, and provide post-implementation support including troubleshooting, tuning, and enhancements.
  • Maintain integration processes between applications across cloud and/or on-premises using Workato, and continuously build an in-depth understanding of current business and technological trends for integrations and automation.

Governance & Best Practices

  • Work with enterprise customers to help define the ideal operating model, governance processes, and security practices to meet their objectives.
  • Participate and contribute to architecture working groups to guide other architects across Workato on best practices and updated methodologies.
  • Platform setup & implementations

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in architecture, design, and development of integrations using the Workato platform.
  • Experience documenting business processes and applying technology to optimize and automate them, along with an understanding of security and governance needs in large enterprises.
  • Knowledge of key applications such as Salesforce, NetSuite, Workday, ServiceNow, SAP, E-Business Suite, and databases.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate ideas visually and create professional presentations.
