Job Summary
Job Title :- Sr. Workato Developer
Position: Senior Workato Developer
Number of Positions: 3
Experience: 2–4 years of relevant experience in Workato with overall 5–8 years of experience
Mode of Employment: 6 Months Contract
Mode of Work: Work From Home -- PAN -- INDIA
Communication Skills: Very good (Client-facing role)
Tentative Work Schedule: 11 AM to 11 PM IST (including break time and work productivity)
We are looking for an experienced Workato Developer with 2–5 years of and overall IT experience as 8 years and strong hands-on expertise in designing, developing, building, managing, and supporting integrations using the Workato iPaaS platform. The role involves designing scalable and secure integration workflows, performing data transformations, mappings, validations, and conditional processing, and integrating data across multiple enterprise and SaaS applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy Workato recipes for real-time and scheduled integrations.
- Develop reusable components, connectors, and recipe frameworks following best practices.
- Build API-based integrations using REST/SOAP, webhooks, and event-driven triggers.
- Perform data transformation, mapping, validations, and conditional logic within Workato.
- Build integrations across applications such as CRM, ERP, Finance, HR, Marketing Automation, and Data Platforms.
- Perform data type conversions, formatting, validations, and standardization.
- Configure and manage connections, lookup tables, variables, and error handling.
- Handle data transformations, mappings, validations, and conditional logic within recipes.
- Monitor and troubleshoot Workato jobs, ensuring reliability and performance.
- Support UAT and production deployments; resolve incidents and perform root-cause analysis.
- Collaborate with architects, functional teams, and clients to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
- Prepare technical documentation and follow integration best practices and governance standards.
- Participate in design reviews, sprint planning, and release activities using tools like Jira / Azure DevOps.
- Ensure secure handling of credentials, tokens, and sensitive data using Workato security features.
Requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills
- 5+ years of hands-on Workato development experience.
- Strong understanding of iPaaS concepts, integration patterns, and best practices.
- Experience with REST APIs, JSON, XML, OAuth, and Webhooks.
- Solid SQL knowledge and experience integrating with databases and data warehouses.
- Solid understanding of data transformations and mappings.
- Working knowledge of SQL and cloud platforms (Azure / AWS / GCP).
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Tools & Technologies
- Workato (Recipes, Connectors, Lookup Tables, On-Prem Agents)
- SaaS systems (e.g., Salesforce, NetSuite, SAP, Workday, ServiceNow, Marketing tools)
- Version control and DevOps processes
- Monitoring and logging best practices
Good to Have
- Workato certifications.
- Experience with other integration tools such as Azure Data Factory, MuleSoft, or Celigo.
- Exposure to data engineering, ELT/ETL pipelines, or reporting platforms (Power BI, Snowflake, Synapse).
