Role Overview
We are seeking experienced SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP) consultants with strong hands-on expertise in Australian payroll. The role can be aligned to either an implementation or AMS support engagement, depending on the candidate's strengths. Consultants will be responsible for end-to-end ECP delivery covering payroll schemas, PCRs, statutory compliance, and Support Pack upgrades for AU clients.
Mandatory Skills
• SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP) certification is mandatory.
• Strong, demonstrable experience in Australian Payroll – statutory compliance (PAYG, Superannuation, STP Phase 2, Payroll Tax, Leave Loading, LSL).
• Hands-on expertise in Payroll Schemas and Personnel Calculation Rules (PCRs) – ability to read, debug, and modify.
• Experience executing Support Pack (SP) upgrades, regression testing, and post-upgrade validation in ECP.
• Proficiency in wage types, schema customisation, off-cycle processing, and retroactive accounting.
• Strong understanding of Point-to-Point (P2P) replication between Employee Central and ECP.
• Experience with Tax Reporter, BSI integration (where applicable), and AU-specific year-end activities.
Good to Have
• Experience with NZ payroll alongside AU.
• Exposure to Time Management (CATS / EC Time Off / Time Sheet) integration with ECP.
• Knowledge of GL posting, third-party remittance, and Finance integration.
• SAP HCM Payroll background prior to moving to ECP.
Key Responsibilities
• Configure, customise, and support AU payroll in SuccessFactors ECP.
• Develop and modify payroll schemas and PCRs to meet client-specific requirements.
• Plan and execute SP upgrades end-to-end – impact analysis, schema/PCR delta review, testing, and go-live support.
• Resolve incidents and service requests within agreed SLAs (for AMS roles) or deliver project workstreams to plan (for implementation roles).
• Run parallel payroll runs, validate results, and support UAT and hypercare.
• Coordinate with EC, Time, and Finance workstreams for integrated delivery.
Candidate Submission Requirements
Profiles must clearly state the following:
• Name of clients worked on for AU payroll (with project type – Implementation / Support / Upgrade).
• Specific role played on each client – e.g. schema/PCR development, SP upgrade lead, AMS L2/L3 support.
• Number of full AU payroll cycles supported and number of SP upgrades executed.
• ECP certification details (certification ID and date).
• Total years of payroll experience and years specifically on ECP / AU payroll.
• Notice period and current location.
