SRIK Consulting Hiring :  Snowflake Data Engineer / Snowflake Specialist  || Remote  --  INDIA  || 10 to 12  Years




Timings: 1.30PM - 10.30PM IST 


Role Summary: 


We are looking for a highly skilled Snowflake Specialist with strong experience in data modeling, data warehousing, and performance optimization. The ideal candidate should have hands-on expertise in designing scalable data models (Star & Snowflake schemas) and optimizing workloads within a cloud data platform. 


Key Responsibilities: 


• Design and implement scalable data models using Star and Snowflake schema 

methodologies. 

• Develop and maintain data warehouse solutions using Snowflake. 

• Perform query performance tuning and optimize warehouse usage (compute/storage). 

• Design and manage database schemas, tables, views, and data pipelines. 

• Collaborate with business and analytics teams to translate requirements into data 

solutions. 

• Implement data partitioning, clustering, and indexing strategies in Snowflake. 

• Monitor and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and data pipeline issues. 

• Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance standards are maintained. 

• Work with ETL/ELT tools to ingest and transform data into Snowflake. 

• Support data migration and modernization initiatives. 



Required Skills: 


• 10 years of experience in data engineering / data warehousing 

• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake 

• Deep understanding of: 

 Star Schema 

 Snowflake Schema 

 Dimensional modeling 

• Expertise in SQL (advanced level) 

• Experience in query optimization and performance tuning 

• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts (fact/dimension tables, SCDs) 

• Experience with data pipeline design and ETL/ELT processes 

• Knowledge of partitioning, clustering, and cost optimization in Snowflake 


Good to Have: 


• Experience with cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure. 

• Familiarity with tools like: 

 Azure Data Factory 

 Exposure to data governance and security practices
