Role: Workato Developer

Location: Pune, India (Hybrid)/Bangalore

Experience: 3-8 Years 

Work mode: Onsite/Hybrid

Work time: 2 PM - 11 PM IST

 

 

Position Overview:

 

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Workato Developer to drive the design, development, and implementation of complex integrations and automations using the Workato iPaaS platform. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing automation solutions that align with our digital transformation strategy.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in Workato integration development 
  • Strong understanding of REST/SOAP APIs, Webhooks, OAuth2 authentication.
  • Experience with common Workato integrations (Salesforce, NetSuite, Workday, SAP, etc.).
  • Strong grasp of JSON, XML, data mapping, and data transformation logic.
  • Proficient in scripting languages used in Workato (JavaScript, Ruby).
  • Experience building custom Workato SDK connectors is a plus.
  • Understanding of security practices (API keys, encryption, data masking, etc.).

Key Responsibilities:

 

Leadership & Strategy:

  • Lead the end-to-end development of Workato recipes, integrations, and workflows.
  • Collaborate with enterprise architects, business analysts, and product owners to define integration strategy and roadmap.
  • Establish Workato best practices, reusable components, and code review processes.

Design & Development:

  • Translate business process requirements into integration workflows using Workato.
  • Design and build complex, low-code/no-code integrations across SaaS applications (e.g., Salesforce, NetSuite, Workday, SAP, ServiceNow, Jira, Slack).
  • Implement error handling, retries, logging, and alerting in automation solutions.
  • Develop and manage custom connectors, lookup tables, Workato SDK components when needed.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Gather and analyze integration requirements from business and IT teams.
  • Partner with application owners, developers, and vendors to understand API specifications.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies and sprint planning to prioritize and deliver solutions.

Maintenance & Optimization:

  • Monitor performance of integrations and troubleshoot issues in production.
  • Optimize existing recipes for performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Maintain documentation for integrations, data flows, and operational runbooks.
