JD:
- Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior Workday Functional Consultant specializing in Absence & Leave Management to join our HRIS/Workday team. The ideal candidate will have 4–6 years of hands-on Workday functional experience, with strong expertise implementing, configuring, and supporting Workday Absence, Time Off, and Leave modules.
This role will be responsible for leading end-to-end implementation projects, driving functional design, supporting integrations, and ensuring that Workday Absence solutions align with business requirements and global compliance standards.
· Responsibilities:
o Lead end-to-end implementation and support for Workday Absence, Time Off, and Leave modules (configurations, BP design, validations, testing, deployment).
o Configure Time Off plans, Absence types, Leave of Absence rules, balance calculations, accruals, carryovers, and country-specific policies.
o Maintain and enhance existing Absence & Leave configurations based on evolving business needs.
o Conduct requirement-gathering workshops with HR, Payroll, and Time teams.
o Configure business processes, eligibility rules, notifications, and related security.
o Partner with Payroll, Time Tracking, Benefits, Integrations, and Security teams to ensure seamless functionality.
o Work with technical teams on integration requirements for Absence-related data.
o Lead test planning, test case creation, and UAT cycles for Absence/Leave functionality.
o Create SOPs, functional documentation, user guides, and training materials.
o Develop and maintain custom reports, dashboards, and business processes to meet specific organizational needs. Use Workday tools and techniques to create solutions that enhance system functionality and user experience.
o Serve as a primary point of contact for escalated user issues and complex inquiries.
o Ensure effective communication of system changes and updates to all relevant stakeholders
o Provide expert-level support to HR users, troubleshooting system issues, and guiding users on best practices for utilizing Workday functionality.
Requirements:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems or MBA.
- Experience:
- 4–6 years of hands-on Workday functional experience, with strong focus on Absence & Leave Management.
- Skills (Mandatory) (Note: list of skills needed to perform the role):
- Strong understanding of Workday HCM data model, Business Processes, domain & BP security, and reporting.
- Solid experience in creating Advanced/Matrix reports and Calculated Fields.
- Strong HR functional understanding (Time Off, Leaves, Payroll impacts).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet timelines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong service orientation with a high sense of ownership and accountability.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a distributed team, taking direction from multiple team members.
- Certifications:
- Possess Workday Absence and Leave Management certification is a plus.
