About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Security Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of network security concepts and be proficient in working with Sophos or FortiGate firewalls and Cisco or Aruba switches. This role will be instrumental in ensuring the security and integrity of our network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

 Firewall Administration:

 Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Sophos or FortiGate firewalls.

 Implement and maintain firewall policies, rules, and object definitions.

 Monitor firewall logs and alerts to identify and mitigate security threats.

 Switch Management:

 Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Cisco or Aruba switches.

 Implement VLANs, port mirroring, and other switch-related configurations.

 Monitor switch performance and troubleshoot network connectivity issues.

 Network Security:

 Develop and implement network security best practices and standards.

 Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.

 Respond to security incidents and implement corrective measures.

 Troubleshooting:

 Diagnose and resolve network security-related issues.

 Collaborate with other IT teams to identify and address root causes of problems.

 Documentation:

 Create and maintain detailed network security documentation, including procedures and

diagrams.

 Contribute to knowledge base articles and training materials.

Required Qualifications:

 Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

 3+ years of experience in network security engineering.

 Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, ICMP, etc.).

 Proficiency in firewall administration (Sophos or FortiGate preferred).

 Experience with switch configuration and management (Cisco or Aruba preferred).

 Knowledge of network security concepts (e.g., IPS, IDS, VPN, NAC).

 Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

 Strong written and verbal communication skills.

 Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

 Professional certifications (e.g., CCNA Security, Fortinet NSE) are a plus.
