Role: Lead Python Engineer -Gen AI

Experience: 8+ years

Location: Bangalore /Pune/Hyderabad/Noida (Hybrid) 


Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Lead Python Engineer with a strong background in backend
development and hands-on expertise in Generative AI. The ideal candidate will bring 6+
years of solid Python development experience along with 2+ years of engineering work in
building and deploying Generative AI solutions. This role involves leading technical design,
guiding a team of engineers, and delivering scalable, production-grade AI-powered
microservices in enterprise environments.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of Python-based microservices integrating Generative
AI capabilities
• Architect and optimize RAG pipelines and LLM-based orchestration for enterprise-scale
use cases
• Develop and review RESTful APIs and backend services using FastAPI/Flask integrated
with OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, or open-source models
• Collaborate with DevOps engineers to enable CI/CD, monitoring, and observability for
AI systems
• Work closely with ML engineers and data scientists to optimize performance, scalability,
and deployment of LLMs
• Conduct design reviews, code reviews, and mentor junior engineers in best practices for
scalable AI engineering
• Implement and experiment with agentic workflows using frameworks like LangChain,
Semantic Kernel, or LangGraph
• Ensure system reliability, scalability, and security across GenAI-enabled platforms

Core Skills Required:

• Expert-level proficiency in Python development including FastAPI, Flask, and asyncio
• Strong knowledge of microservices architecture and distributed systems
• Hands-on experience with GenAI frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, Hugging
Face Transformers
• Practical experience deploying LLMs on cloud platforms, preferably Azure (Azure
OpenAI)
• Proficiency in REST API design and integration with AI services
• Experience with vector databases such as FAISS, Pinecone, or Weaviate
• Knowledge of DevOps tools and practices: Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions,
Terraform

Secondary / Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with agentic orchestration frameworks like Autogen, LangGraph, or
Semantic Kernel
• Background in fine-tuning or customizing open-source LLMs
• Understanding of AI observability, logging, and system performance tuning
• Exposure to MLOps practices and working closely with Data Science/ML teams
• Familiarity with agile development pro
