Job Description:
We are seeking a highly
experienced GCP DevOps Expert with over 10 years of IT experience to join our
team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud
infrastructure, DevOps principles, and best practices, with significant
hands-on experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), particularly with Cloud
Run. Experience with AWS is a strong plus. In this role, you will be
responsible for defining and implementing DevOps standards, establishing best
practices, and ensuring seamless integration and deployment processes across
the cloud infrastructure.
Key
Responsibilities:
- Cloud Infrastructure Management: Design, implement,
and maintain cloud infrastructure solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
with a focus on Cloud Run, Cloud Storage, GKE, and other GCP services.
- DevOps Strategy: Define, implement, and enforce DevOps standards
and best practices to drive automation, continuous integration/continuous
delivery (CI/CD), and infrastructure as code (IaC).
- Automation & CI/CD: Build and maintain
CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or GitHub Actions, with
an emphasis on automated deployments and scaling on GCP.
- Cloud-Native Application Deployment: Manage and deploy
cloud-native applications with GCP Cloud Run, Kubernetes Engine (GKE), and
other containerization technologies.
- Monitoring & Performance: Implement
monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions to ensure cloud infrastructure
and applications are highly available, scalable, and secure.
- Collaboration & Documentation: Work closely with
development, security, and operations teams to ensure successful
implementation of DevOps practices. Create clear and comprehensive
documentation for internal teams on DevOps processes, standards, and
tools.
- Security & Compliance: Ensure cloud
infrastructure adheres to best security practices and compliance
standards. Integrate security practices into CI/CD workflows and
infrastructure management.
- AWS Expertise: Leverage your AWS experience to bring multi-cloud
insights and expertise to the organization, ensuring interoperability between
GCP and AWS services when necessary.
Required Skills and
Qualifications:
- GCP Expertise: Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform,
particularly Cloud Run, GKE, Cloud Functions, Cloud Storage, and related
services.
- DevOps Tools: Extensive experience with DevOps tools such as
Terraform, Jenkins, GitLab, Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
- CI/CD & Automation: Proven ability to
set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines, leveraging automation and
cloud-native deployment tools.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Deep experience
using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar to define and
manage cloud infrastructure.
- Cloud Security: Knowledge of cloud security best practices,
identity and access management (IAM), and securing cloud-native
applications.
- AWS Experience: Strong working knowledge of AWS services such as
EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and IAM is a significant plus.
- IT Experience: Over 10 years of total IT experience with a
minimum of 5 years focused on cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices.
- Problem Solving & Analytical Skills: Ability to
troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across multiple cloud
platforms.
- Collaboration & Communication: Strong
communication skills and experience working in cross-functional teams.
Ability to mentor junior engineers and collaborate with development teams
to implement best practices.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity
with hybrid or multi-cloud architectures.
- Experience
with serverless technologies, especially AWS Lambda or GCP Cloud
Functions.
- Certifications
in GCP (e.g., Professional Cloud Architect) or AWS (e.g., Solutions
Architect – Professional) are a plus
