As our AWS Consultant, you will play a key role in shaping our cloud-based solutions, leveraging a range of AWS services. Here's a snapshot of what a typical day might look like for you:
Design & Architecture: Your day starts with designing and architecting robust AWS solutions to meet the diverse needs of our clients. This includes leveraging a variety of AWS services such as EKS, EFS, S3, SNS, RDS (Aurora – Master-Slave), KMS, Cognito, ECR, Elastic Cache, SNS, VPC, IAM, and Lambda.
CloudFormation Scripting: With no direct access to infrastructure, you will prepare CloudFormation templates and hand them over to the client's team for building and implementing the proposed solutions. Your understanding of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) will be instrumental in this process.
Cognito Implementation: On any given day, you might find yourself implementing AWS Cognito for Single Sign-On (SSO), enhancing the user experience by simplifying access and heightening security.
Service Deployment & Management: You will regularly be deploying and managing AWS services. This involves maintaining high availability, ensuring security, and optimizing for scalability.
CI/CD Pipeline Management: Your day might also involve working with Jenkins jobs to deploy code on AWS. Your familiarity with DevOps practices and tools, including version control and automation frameworks, will be put to good use here.
Problem-Solving: You will likely encounter complex technical issues. Leveraging your excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, you'll identify these issues and formulate effective solutions.
Collaboration: Regular communication with cross-functional teams and clients is a part of your daily routine. You'll be actively engaging in discussions, understanding requirements, and collaborating to deliver the best outcomes.
In essence, this role is a dynamic mix of designing, architecting, scripting, implementing, managing, and collaborating - all geared towards creating optimal cloud-based solutions for our clients.
