Location: Hyderabad/ Bangalore


Responsibilities:

  • Developing components (add-ons) or customizations for the Atlassian JIRA platform
  • Developing interfaces / connectors with enterprise systems and services for various integration projects.
  • Building and improving Open Source components and frameworks
  • Experience in administering JIRA and Confluence server applications (Data Center products as a plus);
  • Experience in using Groovy, Java for scripts, and plugin coding;
  • Experience in UI coding or troubleshooting with JavaScript;
  • Experience in building data queries using JQL and SQL;
  • Experience in using/extending REST API Services.

Requirements:

  • Manage all aspects of the Atlassian tools chain (including workflows, screen schemes, permission schemes, notification, custom fields, add-ons, and integrations); 
  • Manage the JSD portal page templates (experience with Refined app a plus);
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting tasks for Atlassian applications;
  • Solve complicated problems, escalated by L1-L2;
  • Write Groovy/Java scripts on ScriptRunner for cases that are not covered by existing plugins and tools;
  • Research, test, and implement plugins and scripts for Jira and Confluence
  • UI coding/ being able to troubleshoot what goes wrong on UI;
  • Begin able to troubleshoot log files,
  • Build API integrations;
  • Build SQL - integrations, sometimes need to make calls directly to DB. Fixing DB by Atlassian recommendations, for getting data directly from DB, etc.;
  • Identify, test, and provide recommendations for using new plugins to meet project requirements;
  • Analyze, review, and document current functionality to determine potential areas of improvement.
  • Collaborate with customers, Business Analysts, Developers, admins, and cross-functional teams to collect requirements and develop solutions to support the daily needs of a rapidly growing business.
  • Develop interfaces between external tooling and Jira/Confluence infrastructure.
  • Document requirements, solutions, as well as user and support reference guides.
  • Develop specifications and test plans associated with new features or modifications
  • Provide ongoing user support, including troubleshooting and resolution of issues.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Design custom setting up dashboards, and generating reports for different issues types to assist in Automation of provisioning, build & deploy servers and applications as well as other continuous integration workflows. 
  • Develop creating JIRA templates, complex JIRA workflows including project workflows, screen schemes, permission scheme and notification schemes in JIRA. 
  • Responsible for maintenance, administration, upgrade, and enhancements to JIRA, Confluence and integrations with other tools or plugins. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across organization, gather requirements to develop, and deliver custom templates, workflows (automation) using Atlassian products (JIRA, Service Desk, Confluence etc.).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field / Equivalent work experience
  • Programming experience with a willingness to learn.
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of the software development cycle
  • Excellent toubleshoot with logs, events logs, problem-solving skills and demonstration of critical thinking
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Essential query language experience (SQL or equivalent, JQL a bonus)
  • Knowledge of Okta, Single Sign-On protocols such as SAML, SAML2
  • HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, .Net a plus.
  • Experience setting up, developing, and supporting Atlassian Tools (Jira, Confluence, etc.)
  • Ability to automate and extend base Jira/Confluence functionality, including scripting.
  • Install and configure plugins and deploy to extend JIRA capabilities, make dashboards for JIRA Connect add-ons, configure custom fields, support JIRA configurations.
