API Testing

 

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • • Good understanding of QA processes and methodologies 
  • • Design test plans, create test cases 
  • • Test execution, test result capture and assurance on quality 
  • • Knowledge of formal testing and deployment methods from conception through to go-live 


(Functional, System, regression, and UAT testing) 

  • • Ensure effective communication of project and testing status to Development and QA teams 
  • • Experience testing APIs (familiarity with REST API, JSON, XML) 
  • • Candidate should have debugging experience, and excellent problem solving skills 
  • • Identify defects and own them through the resolution and verification cycle 
  • • Excellent knowledge of Agile QA/Dev processes and software development life cycle 
  • • Experience of exploratory testing, adhoc testing. 
  • • Experience with Jira and Confluence 
  • • Any Test case management tool exp like TestRail, Zephyr, Silk central 
  • • Web application automation – Selenium 
  • • Rest Assured API automation experience 


Good to have: 

  • • Hands-on experience in Java/Python 
  • • Experience on AWS or any other cloud platform. 
  • • Experience with CI/CD integrations 



Qualifications: 

  • • Bachelor’s degree in Technology (preferred), or relevant experience required. 
  • • 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance. 
  • • 2+ years direct experience in Automation using Selenium or any other tool. 
  • • 1+ years of experience in API testing 
  • • Experience with CI/CD, Automating pipelines with scripting (Jenkins, shell / python, etc.)
